.lapiņas telpa: a website for interior designer Inese Alma Lapiņa

Inese Alma Lapiņa is an interior designer, and her site is one page that shows how she works and leads to a first meeting. FORGET built it as a static Astro site in Latvian, English and Russian, full of custom pencil drawings: ten hand-drawn scenes sketch themselves as each section scrolls into view, and project photos are painted in over the lines. The drawings are generated once at build time and shipped as plain SVG, so the page runs on a single 8 kB script with no framework.

Pencil drawings that draw themselves

As visitors scroll, each section is sketched in pencil in front of them: saved pictures that never quite fit together, a room with the designer's notes, a whole-home plan with what each room is for. Handwritten notes appear as if written there and then, and project photos are painted in over the sketch. Scroll away and back, and the drawing starts again; visitors who prefer less motion see every drawing finished at once.
